City tour of Rio de Janeiro

This morning, we will go on a City Tour, starting through the Maracana, the most popular soccer stadium in the world (panoramic visit). Then, we'll proceed to the CADEG, a traditional food market from Rio de Janeiro, listed as the Official Public Heritage of Rio de Janeiro in 2018. Here we can find national and imported products, such as cod, cereals, vegetables, vegetables, fresh fruits, dairy products, beverages, etc. Another attraction there are the numerous kiosks that sell a variety of flowers at attractive prices.

We'll also pass by the financial center of Rio where modern and colonial styles are mixed and we will make a stop to visit the famous Cathedral of San Sebastian and a stop to try a delicious natural juice made with tropical fruits and taste one of the local snacks. We will have the opportunity to see the customs, commerce, and joy of the Carioca people!

After our visit, to recover our energy, we'll go to Santa Teresa to the restaurant Aprazivel to have lunch (not included).

Then, we will drive throught Santa Teresa, a trendy neighborhood in the hills, overlooking the city. From there, we will walk and discover beautiful mansions, yellow trams, the iconic Selarón Steps and a lot of urban art murals, as we also enjoy priviledged views of the Christ the Redeemer statue in the backdrop. Past and present, luxury, and art are perfectly intertwined in the city's most bohemian neighborhood. We will walk along cobbled streets as we learn about the history of this neighborhood, for example how it came to be known as the bohemian neighborhood after a wave of artists moved there in the sixties. We will also stop at Parque das Ruinas - ruins of the old mansion abandoned more than 50 years ago and which has now been turned into a cultural center. As we walk through the ruins, we will be able to envision the splendor of the Brazilian Belle Époque, and enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Rio de Janeiro.
