Diving in El Cope´s deep waters
The cold Humboldt current coming from the South and the warm El Niño current coming from the North, meet around the Ecuadorian coastline before changing their direction to the West (and bathing the Isla de la Plata and the Galapagos Islands). This natural phenomenon gives these coasts an incredible diversity of marine wildlife and therefore amazing diving sites.
"Bajo Cope", located 20 miles away from the coast, has deep levels of waters, where the temperature fluctuates between 22 and 26 degrees Celsius. In Bajo Cope there is a great concentration of bio-diverse marine species such as: sea turtles, Manta rays, Pargo fish, Robalo fish, Cherna, Guato, Octopuses and a great variety of corals and colorful fish.
The best months to dive here are from June to October, when the beautiful Giant Manta Rays come to visit these coasts.
This tour includes 2 immersions.
