Laguna Torre
Alongside Laguna De los Tres, this is a classic that you should not miss. A hike through the valley takes you to a breathtaking place with mountains and glaciers. Cerro Torre rises up here, one of the most difficult and extraordinary climbs in the world.
The trail runs through the valley of the Fitz Roy and follows the river to its source. After a 15-minute walk, you reach the first viewpoint in the gorge of the Fitz Roy River, which offers an impressive view of Cerro Solo, the Adela range, Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy. On the other side of the gorge is the Margarita waterfall.
Halfway up, you will reach a natural viewpoint with a magnificent view of the Adela range, Cerro Torre and the granite needles.
From there, you can descend to the Torre lagoon or walk another 2 km along the ridge to the Maestri viewpoint. This lagoon often collects numerous small icebergs that break off from the front of the Grande glacier.
