Navigation in Puerto Blest

Set off on a fascinating full-day boat trip where you can discover Bariloche’s best-kept secret – with our exclusive tour to Puerto Blest and the ‘Cascada de los Cántaros’ waterfall. The adventure begins in historic Puerto Pañuelo, where we board a modern catamaran to sail along the Brazo Blest arm of Lake Nahuel Huapi and immerse ourselves in a landscape that changes completely the closer we get to the imposing Valdivian rainforest. Our first major stop is at Puerto Cántaros, where we’ll climb a wooden step path surrounded by lush vegetation to marvel at the thundering waterfall from various vantage points and pay our respects to a larch tree over 1,500 years old. Finally, we continue on to the idyllic Puerto Blest, a place of absolute tranquillity, ideal for lunch and a stroll along the Río Frías. Here, there is also the opportunity to take a detour to the mystical Lago Frías, to be enchanted by its emerald-green waters and the view of the imposing Cerro Tronador – thus rounding off the most comprehensive, greenest and most surprising nature excursion in Argentine Patagonia.
