Day 1
Transfer to your hotel in Santiago
Upon arrival in Santiago de Chile, you will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel in the Chilean capital. During the drive, enjoy your first impressions of the city, beautifully located between the Andes and the coastal mountain range.
Day 1 - 2
Overnight stay in Santiago de Chile.
Day 2
Santiago de Chile city tour
Today you will discover Santiago de Chile with its historic and modern districts. Visit the city’s main landmarks while learning more about Chile’s history and contemporary culture. You will also visit the Museum of Memory and Human Rights, which explores the country’s political history during the military dictatorship of the 1970s and 1980s, commemorates the victims who disappeared or suffered political persecution, and reflects on how this period continues to shape Chile’s collective memory and identity today.
Transfer to Valparaiso
Continue to the Pacific coast and the colorful port city of Valparaíso. Famous for its steep hills, historic funiculars, street art, and bohemian atmosphere, the city is considered one of Chile’s cultural highlights.
Day 2 - 3
Overnight stay in Valparaíso.
Day 3
Valparaíso and Casablanca Wine Region
Today you have more time to explore Valparaíso’s unique neighborhoods and viewpoints. Along the route, visit the Casablanca wine region, known for its excellent white wines and vineyard landscapes. There will be opportunities to learn more about Chilean wine culture and enjoy optional tastings.
Day 3 - 4
Transfer to Pucón via Santiago
Return to Santiago de Chile before boarding the comfortable overnight bus heading south. During the journey, travel through central and southern Chile towards the country’s beautiful Lake District.
Day 4
Transfer to your Hotel in Pucón
Upon arrival in Pucón, transfer from the bus station to your hotel. The town is beautifully located on the shores of Lake Villarrica and overlooked by the snow-capped Villarrica Volcano.
Today is a free day to explore the stunning natural scenery around Pucón. Optional activities include hiking on Mount Villarrica, visiting hot springs, whitewater rafting, or taking trips to the surrounding national parks. The region is one of Chile’s most popular outdoor destinations and captivates visitors with its volcanoes, lakes, forests, and rivers.
Day 4 - 6
Overnight stay in Pucón.
Day 5
Further exploration of the Lake Villarica region
Today is at leisure to explore the spectacular landscapes surrounding Pucón. Optional activities include hiking on Villarrica Volcano, visiting thermal springs, white-water rafting, or excursions to nearby national parks. The region is one of Chile’s top outdoor destinations.
Day 6
Andes Crossing Chile–Argentina
Today you will cross the Andes from Chile into Argentina while experiencing some of the most spectacular landscapes of the southern Lake District. The route passes volcanoes, dense forests, mountain lakes, and small Andean villages before arriving in San Carlos de Bariloche, beautifully located on the shores of Nahuel Huapi Lake.
Day 6 - 9
Overnight stay in San Carlos de Bariloche.
Day 7
Gaucho Experience in the Argentine Pampas
Today you will immerse yourself in the traditions of Argentina’s gauchos during a visit to a traditional estancia. Learn about the culture and lifestyle of Patagonia’s cattle ranchers while enjoying regional specialties, mate tea, and a classic Argentine asado barbecue.
Day 8
Free Time in Bariloche and Lake District
The day is free to explore the beautiful lake region surrounding Bariloche. Optional activities include hiking, boat excursions, scenic viewpoints, or discovering the town’s alpine atmosphere and famous chocolate shops.
Day 9
Transfer from Bariloche to Buenos Aires
Transfer from your hotel to the airport of Bariloche and flight from the Argentine Lake District to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in the Argentine capital, known for its elegant boulevards, cafés, historic neighborhoods, and tango culture. For an additional fee, you can book a tango show for tonight.
Day 10
End of the trip
After breakfast, your journey ends in Buenos Aires. Departure transfer to the airport is on your own arrangements. Enjoy any remaining time to further discover the atmosphere of the Argentine capital.
