In the morning, your guide will pick you up at your hotel or at an agreed meeting point. Your first stop will be at the Parque de las Iguanas, where over 300 half-tame land iguanas live. At this park is also the cathedral - the largest catholic church in Guayaquil. About 90% of the city's population is catholic. After a short church visit you will go to the traditional fish market. Here you will experience the typical cuisine of Guayaquil at the cookshops.
A stroll along the promenade of Guayas River takes you to the traditional artists' quarter Las Peñas, where you will find colorful painted wooden houses. A staircase of 440 steps leads to Cerro Santa Ana up to lighthouse, where you will have a panoramic view of the city and the Río Guayas. After the descent you will have lunch before you will visit the Parque Histórico. The zoo with protected area has an incomparable jungle fauna and flora with mangroves and dry forest. There are also reconstructed buildings from the late 19th and early 20th century.
At the end of the city tour you will be taken back to your hotel.
