Day 1

Transfer from airport to the boat

Morning: After arrival in San Cristóbal airport, transfer to the harbor to board the Calipso.

Witch Hill, San Cristobal

You will visit the Witch Hill also known as Brujo Hill in the afternoon. The beautiful sandy coral beach is one the best in the Galapagos Islands while the hill itself is the remain of a volcanic tuff cone composed of compact debris and ashes. This is also one of the first sites visited by Charles Darwin. You can snorkel here and enjoy an immersive experience in nature. Animals like sea lions, blue-footed boobies, marine iguanas and pelicans are sure to make their appearances around this area.

Day 2

Bartolome Island

Morning: Today, you will visit Bartolome Island, with one of the most iconic sceneries in the Galapagos Islands. After arriving at the bay opposite the famous pinnacle rock, you will embark on a short hike up the peak of the island (375ft). Bartolomé in the northern part of the archipelago was nominated for the World Travel Awards 2012 as the most beautiful beach of South America. Here, you will find a fascinating, lunar-like volcanic landscape, a great testimony to the natural phenomenons which form the Galapagos islands. Take a swim together with some of the penguins who play in the waters and on the shores of the bay here.

Puerto Egas, Santiago

Egas Port, also known as James Bay, is home to Galapagos hawks and Galapagos lava lizards. The trail leads to a coastline with beautiful tide pools and caves full of animals. Galápagos sea lions also come here to sunbathe. Furthermore, this is an excellent spot for snorkeling.

Day 3

Espinosa Point, Fernandina

Morning: Espinosa Point, on the northeastern shore of Fernandina, is dominated by "La Cumbre", the volcano whose lava fields formed the island. A visit to Espinosa Point should definitely be on your list as a high number of unique Galapagos species reside here. Besides the fun-loving Galapagos Sea Lions, Espinosa Point is also a great place to see Marine Iguanas, Galapagos Penguins, and the endangered Galapagos Flightless Cormorant. Keep your eyes skyward as you may also catch a glimpse of a Galapagos Hawk circling overhead looking for its next meal.

Tagus Cove, Isabela

Afternoon: The historical pirate hideaway of Tagus Cove has been frequented by sailors since the 1800s. The names of visiting ships were often painted and carved into the cliffs surrounding the cove. Trails wind their way around Lake Darwin up to a ridge, offering wonderful views of the landscape and the ocean, with Wolf and Darwin Islands dotting the horizon. Punta Tortuga, just north of Tagus Cove, is another idyllic tropical beach surrounded by mangroves. Enjoy a panga ride through the cliffs afterward, observing penguins, flightless cormorants, boobies, pelicans and Sally Lightfoot crabs. You may also return to the cove to relax on the shore or snorkel.

Day 4

Urbina Bay, Isabela

Urbina Bay graces the southeast flank of the Alcedo Volcano. After volcanic activity in 1954 caused a significant uplift, the coast expanded almost a kilometer outwards. Marine life found a way to thrive in this newly fertile area and many species chose to stay. Today, this area is a great place for snorkeling. During your hike, you may see a large colony of land iguanas, Darwin's finches, giant tortoises (from June to September) and flightless cormorants.

Several species of whale have been spotted in the waters you'll be navigating through today.

Moreno Point, Isabela

Morning: Moreno Point (known locally as Punta Moreno) is a short journey from Elizabeth Bay on the west coast of Isabela Island. You will take a panga ride which gives you great views of the striking rocky shoreline before you land ashore.

Here you will witness a huge lava field leading up to the distant Cero Azul volcano. Hiking through this alien landscape, you will come across several tidal lagoons, pools, and mangroves - all of which provide an oasis for a range of wildlife, particularly birds. The clear water in larger tidal pools allows you to see green turtles or even sharks swimming there.

Day 5

North Seymour Island

Afternoon: You will visit the small island of North Seymour, one of the most diverse islands in the Galapagos archipelago. It is only about two square kilometers in size and above all known for the intensive courtship rituals of many magnificent frigatebirds, taking place here during mating season. The island is also home to large colonies of land iguanas, marine iguanas, and sea lions. The characteristic bush landscape features diverse species of animals amongst the aromatic endemic balsa trees.

Transfer to Baltra Airport

The cruise will conclude in the harbor of Baltra. From there, transfer to Baltra Airport in time for your return flight to the mainland, or continue with your planned route through the Galapagos.
