Day 2

In the "Valley of Longevity"

The reason for this could be the infection-free climate, the lack of stress and a balanced organic diet. Afterwards, you will have a trip to the Podocarpus National Park, the largest mountain mist forest in South America with a very rich birdlife. There you will undertake an approximately three-hour hike. Overnight Vilcabamba.

Day 3

After a scenic drive on a winding route through the southern Ecuadorian mountains, you will reach the small gold mining town of Zaruma, which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In the afternoon you visit a gold mine. Overnight Zaruma.

Day 4

From the mountains to the coast

In the early morning you start towards the coast. The drive there leads through the impressive landscapes of the mountain region down into the lush green of the lowlands. You will pass Machala, the center of the Ecuadorian banana industry, and continue along the Pacific coast to the coastal town of Guayaquil. Arrival in the afternoon.
