The Explora Rapa Nui Lodge on the island of Rapa Nui (also known as Easter Island, Chile) is an exclusive retreat in the midst of one of the world's most remote and mysterious landscapes. It is located in an idyllic, peaceful setting just outside Hanga Roa, surrounded by grasslands, trees, and sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean.
The design is by award-winning architect José Cruz Ovalle and is designed to blend harmoniously into the volcanic terrain – with natural materials, clean lines and large windows that take advantage of the view.
The lodge has 30 rooms: 26 “Varúa” rooms (approx. 32 m²) and 4 “Raa” suites (approx. 44 m²) – all with sea views.
The rooms feature high-quality design with wood, clean lines, and often a hydro-massage bathtub or similar amenities. Shared facilities include an outdoor pool with Jacuzzi, sauna, and spa area – ideal for relaxing after a day of exploration. Explora Rapa Nui offers an all-inclusive experience, with guided excursions, meals, drinks, transfers, and much more included in the price.
Activities on offer include guided hikes, bike tours, and kayaking trips along the coast, to volcanoes, and archaeological sites such as the famous Moai statues.
