The Posada de Tigua is part of the agricultural and livestock-farming Hacienda Tigua Chimbacucho in the province of Cotopaxi, located half an hour southeast of Quilotoa. The old, cozy house was built in 1883 from thick adobe walls and holds stories that have developed over generations.
At the Posada de Tigua, you can enjoy the fresh air of the highlands, the beautiful landscape, and hiking, help with cow husbandry, and make cheese, milk porridge, and yogurt from fresh milk with your own hands.
You can also enjoy a delicious canelazo by the warmth of a wood-burning stove and savor a tasty homemade meal made with regional products in a family atmosphere.
