Coyoacán
Mexican artist Frida Kahlo is known for her self-portraits, pain and passion and bold, vibrant colors. In Mexico, she is celebrated for her attention to Mexican and Indigenous culture and by feminists for her depiction of female experience and form.
After breakfast, Frida day begins. In Coyoacán, one of Mexico City's prettiest neighborhoods, visit Frida's birthplace and the artist's later residence, Casa Azul. There, you'll still find typical items such as design sketches.
The Leon Trotsky Museum, Trotsky was Diego Rivera's assistant and had a long affair with Frida Kahlo.
Museum Dolores Olmedo
Afterwards, we'll continue to the Dolores Olmedo Museum, where some of Frida's works and much of Diego's are on display. Finally, we'll visit the Anahuacalli private museum, which Diego Rivera founded after Frida's death.
