El Tatio geysers
On this excursion you will visit one of the most important geothermal fields in the world - the Tatio geysers, which are located at 4,200 meters above sea level. It is the largest group of geysers in the southern hemisphere and the third largest in the world. The tour starts early in the morning directly from your hotel and to the high plateau of the Andes, where the steaming geysers offer a unique spectacle. After about 90 minutes of admiring this natural beauty, a delicious breakfast buffet awaits you. On the way back, we pass important high-altitude ecosystems with a rich biodiversity, such as the wetlands of Machuca and Vados de Putana, where we will also visit the village of Machuca.
