Transfer - Arrival at Napo Cultural Center
The trip starts from the town of Coca in comfortable ecological roof canoes, outboard motors operated. The canoe trip down the river takes about two hours, and a packed lunch will be provided.
During the journey, you will see birds such as herons, kingfishers, terns and other shore birds species in the beautiful Amazonian landscape. Arriving at Napo Cultural Center, visitors will receive a warm welcome with a traditional drink, then enjoy lunch at the Center. After that, you will time to settle in to your cabin.
Sunset walk at the Napo River
Afternoon: Take a short walk down to the banks of the Napo River, to enjoy a beautiful view and the sunset. Return for dinner and rest at the Napo Cultural Center.
Visit parrot lick and Interpretation Center "Kuri Muyu"
Morning: After breakfast, the canoe takes you to a unique sight - parrot clay lick. About 11 species of birds, including parrots, macaws and parakeets, visit this place every day to eat clay rich in minerals.
During a visit to the Interpretation Center Kuri Muyu, you can learn about the Kichwa culture, crafts, traditions and the traditional use of natural resources directly from the people of the community.
Return to the lodge for lunch and take a break.
Afternoon: Explore the surrounding area, including the wetland and highlands of the Amazon. Once in Añangu, board a small canoe for a spectacular forest adventure as the night falls, offering a special atmosphere on the river. Some nocturnal species can be seen during this time and the sounds of the jungle are more clearly heard.
In the evening you return to the lodge in motorised canoes, where you can expect a traditional dinner.
Experience the knowledge of the Añangu community
Full day: After breakfast you will visit the Añangu community. Here you can learn a lot about the community projects, use of plant seeds and medicinal plant of the jungle. Walk along the path Mama Cuna for a closer look at the impressive plant life that you have just learned about. You will see ancient Ceiba trees, bamboo, endemic Yasuni vines and shrubs. Before the sun goes down, return to the lodge where a delicious dinner awaits you.
Observation tower at Yasuní national park
A new and breathtaking world opens up before your eyes after an hour hike to the 35m high observation tower, which rises above the tree tops. Birds, howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, toucans, parrots and sloths can be seen from up there. Afterwards you return to the lodge with a canoe, where a delicious dinner awaits you.
Customs of the Kichwa culture
Morning:(Optional) You get up at 04.30 am to share one of the ancient customs of the Kichwa culture. During a ceremony, you will drink the traditional tea "Wayusa"and listen to Kishwa songs to stimulate your mind in a quiet and unique manner. Then return to the lodge for breakfast.
Transfer to Quito
You leave the lodge in a motorised canoe to the port of Francisco de Orellana. From there, you will be taken to Coca airport to take the flight to Quito
