Manglares Churute - National Park

Manglares Churute is a gem in the Province of Guayas and one of the best Eco-touristic spots in the Coastal Region of the country. Manglares Churute is an Ecological Reserve that is the largest protected area of Mangrove Forest in Ecuador (50.000 ha). It also consists of several large hills that are covered in tropical dry forest and are home to the coastal Howler Monkey, Ocelot, Three-toed Sloth, Capuchins and many more. The typical tours lasts for up to 4 hours and include a ride through the mangroves in a motorized canoe for bird watching, an easy hike through the tropical dry forest for an up-close encounter of Howler Monkeys in their natural habitat, and a stop by a cacao farm to learn about the process of making chocolate and of course a taste test.
