The Chachapoyas Guided Tour
Your guide will pick you up at your hotel and guide you around the small but well-preserved city of Chachapoyas. Named after the Chachapoyas pre-Inca civilization that lived in the area before the Tawantinsuyo and Inca Empire conquered the North.
Afterward, he will take you to the Huancas village well-known for its pottery and handicrafts. Their specialty is in clay cooking pots and jugs that are hand-decorated and fired in open and wood-burning ovens. Here, you will be able to meet the artisans in their workshops and admire their beautiful traditional art and techniques.
The next stop will be at the Sonche River's Canyon from where you will have a panoramic view of the area. This place is also a great location to watch eagles soaring above the canyon. You will return to your hotel after this.
