Beagle Kanal & Les Eclaireurs

The tour begins at the local tourist port. You will board a modern and comfortable boat. Under sail, the boat will cross the wide bay of Ushuaia until it reaches the Beagle Channel via Paso Chico. It then navigates around Bird Island, where you can observe the seabirds of Tierra del Fuego, such as skuas, black-browed albatrosses, steam ducks, cauquenes, kelp gulls, and gray gulls.

You will then reach Sea Lion Island, which also belongs to the Bridges Archipelago and is inhabited by two different species of sea lions. Once you arrive at Les Eclaireurs (The Enlighteners) lighthouse, you will find colonies of emperor and rock cormorants.

Next, the boat will head to Puerto Karelo to see the authentic shell deposits (concheros) of the Yamana peoples. Enjoy a guided hike here, which takes about 20 minutes and ends at a viewpoint where you can take excellent photos. On the way back, enjoy the incredible views of the surrounding mountain ranges and the lush vegetation around the city of Ushuaia.
